The Library Book & eBook Collections – The Library maintains a large collection of books and eBooks on history.  It is highly recommended you search our book collection for books on your topic.  Books are an especially good resource for history research.

EBSCOhost – Our EBSCO database has thousands of scholarly articles relating to historic events.  Look for articles labelled Academic Journal articles.

Gale Primary Documents – This online collection contains thousands of primary documents from US History.  Look here to read the letters, diaries, government documents and other primary sources of people who lived history.

Newspapers and Magazines – These are reliable but non-scholarly sources of information on history.  Some examples are the NPR, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, US News, the Guardian, or BBC News. Use the search function on these sites to look for articles.

The History Channel – The history channel maintains this list of history topics. If you’re struggling to decide what to write about this would be a good place to start.  Remember that The History Channel is not a scholarly source.  Scholarly sources are found in EBSCO.
