American Psychological Association: Topics List – Picking a topic can be one of the most difficult parts of the research process.  This list of topics is a good place to look for ideas.   This is a reliable but non scholarly source.

APA PsycArticles – APA PsycArticles is the official scholarly database of the APA.  This database contains thousands of scholarly journal articles related to psychology, including human development.   PsycArticles is located inside the EBSCOhost database collection.

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders aka DSM V – This is the official handbook of the APA.  It contains hundred of articles on different mental health disorders.  This book is available for checkout from the Richland Campus collection.  It can also be shipped to your home by request.

Casebook for DSM-V: Presents real-life cases along with rationale behind diagnoses and connections to DSM-5 criteria.  This eBook is available online in our EBSCO eBooks collection.

Newspapers and Magazines – These are reliable but non-scholarly sources of information on psychology.  Some examples are NPR, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Scientific American, US News, the Guardian, or BBC News. Use the search function on these sites to look for articles on your psychology topics.
