Britannica Academic –  This online encyclopedia is an excellent place to start researching business topics like influential business people or important business theories.

EBSCOhost – The EBSCOhost database has millions of articles on different business topics.  Scholarly sources will be labelled as “Academic Journal” articles.  This database also contain non scholarly but useful sources like newspapers and magazines, including Bloomberg.

Business Searching Interface – This collection, located in EBSCO, contains detailed business reports on specific companies and analysis of the economies of different countries.

The Library Book & eBook Collections – The Library maintains a large collection of books and eBooks on business topics.  It is highly recommended you search our book collection for books on your topic.  Books are an especially useful when beginning to research a new topic.

News and Magazines – Bloomberg, Business Insider, CNBC, Forbes, and MSN Money are credible sources for business.  The Wall Street Journal, NPR and the New York Times also have useful information on business news. Use the search function on these sites to look for articles or browse the headlines.

The Securities and Exchange Commission – The SEC is a US Government agency that gathers large amounts of useful information about any business that is publicly traded.  Quarterly earnings reports will help you understand the successes or struggles of major companies.
